Ramona (2022) In the film, Ramona has just arrived to live in Madrid with her boyfriend, Nico, and wants to start from scratch: she wants to be an actress, she wants to be a mother, she wants to live in Lavapiés. But she can’t get castings, she doesn’t have a steady job and in her building there are two squatters who sell drugs and keep her terrified. The day before her first casting, she meets Bruno, a man who instantly fascinates her.
They talk for hours, stroll around Madrid and sunbathe on a bench, until he, after a declaration of love, invites her home. Outraged by the proposal, Ramona runs away, convinced that she will never see Bruno again and forget what happened. When she arrives at the casting, Bruno turns out to be the director of the film and without hesitation offers her the leading role. Ramona refuses at first, but motivated by Nico and the dream of being an actress, she decides to participate in the project.
